Hi all! My name is Kara Smith, and I am excited to be a part of the Lakeside community I am looking forward to a great school year. I have had the pleasure of teaching 1st through 4th grades over the course of 10 years, but I have primarily taught 3rd and 4th grades. I have a Masters in Teaching and in Health Promotion. I also have a Culinary Arts degree, as cooking is a passion of mine. I live in Cornelius with my husband, Sean, and our two kids, Charlie (16) and Sofie (13). We have a golden retriever, a chocolate lab, and a bearded dragon! I love to read, travel, and spend time with my family and friends in my free time.
