Hi, my name is Kristen Cardenas. I have been an elementary teacher in Charlotte for 18 years. I have a big family, who keep me pretty busy, but if I have a free moment I enjoy practicing yoga, knitting, drawing, hiking, and playing with our dogs. I am super excited to join the Lakeside Charter Academy team as a teacher assistant. My two youngest kids will also be joining me at Lakeside: Ben, who’s in first grade and Ethan, who’s in seventh grade.
