I would like to introduce myself, and welcome you all to Lakeside Charter Academy!  We are doing fantastic things this year, and are so fortunate to have such a wonderful staff, students, and families at LCA!

A little about me:  I received my undergraduate degree from College of Charleston.   I earned my Masters degree in Elementary Education and my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Wingate University.  My educational career has allowed me to teach 3rd grade, 6th grade, founding Athletic Director of 2 successful programs, and administrator at a K-8 charter school in Charlotte, NC.  I have 3 children, and my oldest is in first grade at Lakeside Charter Academy.  I have lived in Charlotte for almost 30 years, and just moved up to Davidson, NC recently!

  My educational philosophy is, “Every child can learn when given the best instruction no matter their background or ability level.  Students must be lifelong learners and positive members of society.”  Our teachers will make real life applications so our students will grasp the material. Steven Covey said, “The main thing, is to keep the main thing, the main thing.”  Our “main thing” is our students, and I will make sure decisions are made with their best interest in mind.  Rita Pierson said, “Every Child Needs A Champion.”  My job is to make sure that myself and LCA’s staff are your child’s Champion!  I look forward to meeting all of you!
