Hi, all Lakeside Charter Bears! I am Beverly Sipe. I am a native of the Huntersville/Charlotte area and have lived there most of my life. 

 

I have officially taught for over 25 years in North and South Carolina. I received my undergraduate degree in Special Education from Sacred Heart College and my master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Gardner Webb University.  I have served in k-12 classrooms as a special education teacher, literacy coach, interventionalist, and administrator. I have worked in large county schools as well as charters. I have worked in local charter schools for the last 15 years. 

 

I have three wonderful grown children (1 girl and 2 boys) and a son-in-law.  I was a charter school parent long before I became a charter school teacher. Charters hold a very special place in my heart. 

 

I enjoy learning new things, reading, and spending time at the beach with family and friends.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns.

Every day is a learning experience. Few other jobs can really be learning experiences all the time, but when you’re dealing with so many personalities and moving parts that is the teaching and coaching day, you just never know what you’ll learn. 

While at Lakeside, I aim to help and support students, parents, and staff in their quest to become lifelong learners. My goal in the next 2 years is to retire to the beach and enjoy beach life.
